While, Virat Kohli's led Royal Challengers is desperate for victories. The game that was expected to be a thrilling one turned out to be a damp squib.

Played: 21. Punjab: 12. RCB bowlers were very well complemented by some good outfield catching and three runs outs.

Colin de Grandhomme, left, and Bangalore have kept their playoff hopes alive with a 10-wicket win against Punjab. Backed by some good fielding, Umesh Yadav (3/23) came up with an impressive bowling effort up front to destabilise the KXIP innings.

WICKETS! This is just bad.

Aaron Finch was KXIP's top scorer with a 23-ball 26. Stoinis, however, yorked himself against Yuzvendra Chahal and was part of an irreparable collapse. A well flighted delivery that turned into a yorker as Stoinis failed to pick up the length. They will be eliminated if they lose to KXIP on Wednesday. Mohamed Siraj gets his first wicket. Then in the same fifth over, he bowled another short ball close to Gayle, who tried to send the ball outside the ground but could only sky it to Mohammad Siraj at square leg. This is now the third 10-wicket victory in Bangalore history; no other side has achieved this feat a few times.

It was the 2nd head to head battle between this two teams in the ongoing season.

Kings XI Punjab is at the third position on the points table with six wins from eleven matches, while Royal Challengers Bangalore is at the seventh position on the points table with four wins from their eleven matches. But since it is seen that KXIP has a great team and they can surely beat others to reach peak of the tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore chased it down with nearly 12 overs to spare and boosted their net run-rate, from -0.26 to +0.21, and their playoff qualification chances. A win in the next game against Kolkata Knight Riders is must for the team. While RCB will look to continue with their winning combination from the last match.
