The FBI agents managed to obtain multiple computers, servers and storage devices from Schulte's home, including an "encrypted container, approximately 54 GB in size", which held the child pornography.

The NYT quoted Nicholas Weaver, a researcher at the International Computer Science Institute in California, as saying that WikiLeaks had magnified the danger posed by the Vault 7 leaks and that the tools were aimed only at small groups of high-value targets.

"Those search warrants haven't yielded anything that is consistent with [Schulte's] involvement in that disclosure", said assistant US attorney in the Southern District of New York Matthew Laroche.

It's unclear why Schulte has not been charged or cleared in the breach. They conducted a number of search warrants on the defendant's residence.

Last week, Schulte's lawyer, Sabrina Shroff, told a court that a deadline should be set for the government to file charges on the allegation that he was behind the Central Intelligence Agency leaks. He has pleaded not guilty. Schulte is now in a Manhattan jail on charges of possessing, receiving and transporting child pornography, after prosecutors allege they found a large cache of child pornography on a server that was maintained by Schulte.

Roger said his son was in college when he set up the server later claimed to contain child pornography, and that he "had so many people accessing it he didn't care what people put on it". After quitting the CIA in November 2016 - according to Roger he had complained about security vulnerabilities at the agency - he joined Bloomberg as a software engineer. Schulte's attorneys have said that Tor is used for all kinds of communications and have maintained that he played no role in the Vault 7 leaks.

The Saints will be without defender Jan Bednarek, who picked up a head injury in the club's midweek win over Swansea . Manchester United are guaranteed second while Tottenham have guaranteed a top-four finish.

The CIA declined to comment.

Government prosecutors say Joshua Adam Schulte of NY is a target in the theft investigation.

"Due to these unfortunate coincidences the Federal Bureau of Investigation ultimately made the snap judgment that I was guilty of the leaks and targeted me", Schulte said.

It is noted that despite the long months of investigation, prosecutors have been unable to charge him.

Schulte said he had also been planning a vacation with his brother to Cancun, Mexico, which may have given the appearance that he was trying to flee the country.

Since he's been jailed, Schulte has created a Facebook page where he posts articles criticizing the criminal justice system. No charges have been filed against Schulte in that investigation, and his defense lawyers have insisted he was not involved.
