The Celtics crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers in Sunday's NBA Eastern Conference opener 108-83 and can take a 2-0 lead with a win in game two in Boston.

Take New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who at 40 years young became the oldest player ever to win an NFL MVP. Boston is seeking its first Finals berth since 2010, when it lost in seven games to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Or LeBron James, who turned 33 in December and proceeded to suit up in all 82 regular season games for the first time in his 15-year career; he's now enduring perhaps his most statistically impressive and stunningly dominant playoff run to date.

LeBron James had a tremendous Game 2, finishing with 42 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. During his three seasons watching James upon the latter's return to the franchise from Miami, Griffin was a witness to many key moments that were led by the superstar, including winning the 2016 National Basketball Association championship.

Cavs forward Jeff Green subbed in temporarily for James, who returned to the contest with 1:57 remaining in the second quarter. Will that happen again tonight?

LeBron James drops a huge triple-double but still can't tow the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Boston Celtics.

UFC 224: Mackenzie Dern submits Amanda Cooper with rear-naked choke
Dern remains unbeaten in her career improved to 7-0, while Cooper falls to 1-2 in her past three outings. The fight still went forward, but Dern was penalized 30 percent of her purse, which went to Cooper.

"They're gooning the game up, and we've got to do the same thing", Lue said. "I thought Semi (Ojeleye) did a good job on the couple of possessions he guarded him, which is really hard to just come off the bench not in the flow of the game and put a body in front of him, but he's unbelievable". James and the Cavaliers eliminated the Celtics in a five-game series last May. "We're just out here playing hard and having fun". "No matter what's going on on the floor, they're so composed in how they are with the team and the message that. keeps everyone calm". James had just 15 points and missed all 5 of his three-point attempts in a Game 1 defeat.

It's the first time in 10 years that Cleveland have trailed 2-0 in the Eastern Conference finals.

James averaged 34 points, 9.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists in the first two rounds of the playoffs but the superstar playmaker was shut down by an aggressive, hustling Celtics squad. Brown's 3-pointer with 32.4 seconds left in the second quarter gave Boston its biggest lead of the half at 61-33.

"We just have to make it hard for him", Celtics coach Brad Stevens said of James.

"With Irving unavailable, the Celtics are no longer seen as a contender", our story said. Whatever it takes, every player, 1-15, whatever it takes, that's what we're doing. They attacked us early on. "We moved on to the next play way and we locked in after that". "We had some great shots we couldn't make and it snowballed from there".
