Rain could continue until Sunday morning; more coming next week

This will promote areas of low cloud development for early tomorrow morning. Temperatures climb into the upper 70s with dew points in the middle 60s. Overnight lows remain mild in the low to mid 40's with clear skies.

Scattered afternoon showers and a few storms. We will get a few breaks before additional storms move in Monday evening.

Ryan McPike, a KMTV meteorologist, said any precipitation in the Omaha area Saturday would be spotty and Sunday's chance for rain was considered slight.

THE REST OF THE WEEK: Not quite as hot but very humid with highs in the 80s.

There will be a chance of showers through tonight in the central and southern portions of the area, with mainly dry weather continuing to the north.

Thursday Night: Clouds with a late night shower or quick thunderstorm. Lows will be in the upper 60s with southeast winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Temps overnight will near 55 degrees with NNE winds of 5-15 miles per hour. Most of Monday is dry, but we could see a few showers or rumbles of thunder in the afternoon.

The same high temperature is predicted for Sunday, but the chance of showers and thunderstorms grows as the weekend continues.

Expect a similar day compared ot Saturday on Sunday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms again off and on Mother's Day.

The best chance for rain is late Friday night into Saturday. Then partly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday.
