We should point out two things first: that Gorske already holds the record for having eaten the most Big Macs; he crossed that threshold according to the Guinness people back in October.

As this man from Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, broke the world record for "Most Big Macs consumed" on Friday when he ate his 30,000th one.

Gorske became the world record holder for most Big Macs eaten after he consumed his 28,788th burger in 2016.

He says he's eaten a Big Mac nearly every day since May 17, 1972.

Gorske says he's eaten so many because he just loves hamburgers. It wouldn't be the first time. Gorske has calculated that it took him 356 days to eat his first 1,000 Big Macs. USA Today reports that he has thousands of receipts, sandwich wrappers, and containers. Over the almost 46 years since he had the first Big Mac, Gorske had only gone a total of eight days without eating one.

Gorske, tall and lanky, has a meticulous memory and a penchant for details.

In case you're wondering, Gorske says his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal and he weighs five pounds less than he did when he ate his 25,000th Big Mac in 2011.

He even has the day when McDonald's switched to shredded lettuce marked down: February 10, 1999. He also appeared in the movie Supersize Me.

He says although he does not work out, he stays busy all day long due to his hyperactive personality. In 2003, Ellen DeGeneres asked him to get his cholesterol checked, and it was 140.

The guy who invented Big Macs, Heck, who died recently at age 98, said that he also used to have only one a week.
