Unfortunately, this front won't be doing much as far as cooling us down.

The first wave of showers is moving into the region this morning from the west, affecting areas toward US-127 first.

This weekend will bring us a lot of sunshine with highs into the low 80s on Saturday but falling to the low to mid 70s on Sunday. Our westernmost counties may even see some thunderstorms tonight! Lows will stay mild around the 60s again tonight. Low of 75 for Corpus.

Rain and gusty winds are likely overnight through Friday morning as a cold front approaches. Instead of tracking multiple rounds of severe weather the main threat will come with the passing of the cold front Friday evening. Despite the rain chances through late-week, temperatures really start to warm up.
