Group of Gazans break through Israel border fence, fired on by IDF

Palestinians in Gaza held their sixth Friday protest as part of the Great March of Return, which began on March 30 with the commemoration of Palestinian Land Day.

Palestinians protesting against the Israeli occupation in Gaza have shot down an Israeli drone amid intensifying clashes and rising number of casualties, Al-Masdar News reports.

Israel has warned that it would use excessive force against any attempt of infiltration from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

Wearing a headscarf and a dust-mask hanging around her neck, she said she came to the protests every week. Over the past few weeks, according to Israeli media, such kites have set several fields in southern Israel on fire, in some cases causing severe damage.

After nearly two minutes, an Israeli army jeep can be seen speeding to the location and the men high-tail it back into the Strip.

A large blast rocked the central Gaza Strip on Saturday, killing at least six people, witnesses and the Hamas-run health ministry said.

For the 6th week in a row, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip took part in the mass rallies of the "Great March of Return.' Protesters demand an end to the decade-long siege and respect for global law, specially UN Resolution 194, which calls for the 'Right of Return" for Palestinian refugees expelled from their homes in 1948.

Palestinians say protesters are being shot while posing no threat to soldiers.

The Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, military wing of the Hamas militant group, blamed Israel, but the Israeli military said it was not involved.

The group said in a statement that the four died during "preparations", without giving further details.

The Israeli regime has faced worldwide criticism over its use of live fire. No Israeli civilian or military forces have been killed or injured.

"If no solution happens by May 15 we will continue the protests or we die".

The move has deeply angered the Palestinians, who see the Israeli-annexed eastern sector of Jerusalem as the capital of their future state.
