Windy, warm Tuesday in Oklahoma, severe weather possible

A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon.

Wednesday Mostly sunny. At lower elevations, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Thursday night: A 70 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then showers, low around 51. Skies will generally stay mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. Today's high will be near 80 with a south wind of 10 to 17 miles per hour gusting as high as 30 miles per hour, the weather service said. Winds gusting up to 25 miles per hour.

As we head into tomorrow the chance for thunderstorm will come into the picture and lasting throughout the week.

Today: Sunny - high near 86, breezy with a south wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the pm gusting as high as 29 mph.

Thunderstorms were moving through the region this morning, and are expected to continue tonight and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. A low of 46 degrees and 20 percent of precipitation is expected.
