Maroney, who has accused Nassar of abusing her "hundreds of times" over the course of her gymnastics career, acknowledged even the simplest gestures from the doctor would earn her gratitude. And Gina Nichols, mother of gymnast Maggie Nichols and the first parent to learn of the sexual abuse, tells how she also pressed USA Gymnastics for an investigation into Nassar more than a year before his arrest.

Rebecca Whitehurst, a former member of the USA national gymnastics team who says she was abused in 1996 during a competition in Colorado Springs. They have been named in lawsuits.

According to the document, there is an allegation that USA Gymnastics destroyed athletes' medical records "in order to further hide the sexual abuse of Nassar". And some gymnasts have come forward to complain about training methods that created a generation of champions but took an emotional toll.

Attorneys Mo Aziz of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz, Texas attorney Michelle Simpson Tuegel, and MI attorney James White, all filed lawsuits on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 alleging that women ranging from age 14 to age 41 were sexually molested by Larry Nassar. A Michigan native who grew up not far from Michigan State's campus in East Lansing, Wieber was one of the success stories that helped Nassar build a persona over the years as the renowned doctor who helped America's female gymnasts win Olympic gold.

"I would cringe at how uncomfortable it felt". He pleaded guilty to 10 counts of criminal sexual conduct, and during his sentencing, he was confronted by upwards of 150 women who suffered all these years because of his abuse. Good question: Why the hell should I have to pay for what you did, Michigan State? USA Gymnastics has seen a chief executive and its entire board of directors resign, and the USOC's chief executive has also stepped down.

Savannah Guthrie says she hates to miss a broadcast of NBC's "Today", but recently decided to make an exception.
