In a game between two teams that needed a win, Mumbai got off to a horror start losing two wickets in the first two balls of the match. However, another loss tonight, against Royal Challengers Bangalore, might just bring that about.

Rohit who nearly played as an opener bludgeoned the opposition RCB by scoring 94 balls off just 52 balls that included 10 fours and 5 sixes while Evin Lewis scored 65 runs off 42 balls. Lewis provided the initial boost, and allowed Rohit the space to build one of his typically monstrous finishes to lift MI to 213 for 6.

Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) latest updates: Hello and welcome to CricketCountry's live coverage of the VIVO IPL 2018. RCB can use him to open the innings alongside de Kock if they want Kohli and AB de Villiers to control the shaky middle-order. If Krunal Pandya and Mayank Markande were attacking for Mumbai, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar were defensive, bowing to the pressure created by Lewis and Rohit early on. But, as he explained after the game, the RCB captain had given up on the chase, as too many wickets had fallen, and was trying to ensure they didn't fall too far behind on net run-rate. It's important to give the guys comfort because they should know where they are batting for next few games. He registered bowling figures of 2-0-7-2 in his first spell. Then Krunal Pandya took three wickets to restrict the Royal Challengers to 167 for eight in 20 overs. He conceded 32 runs in his two overs and then scored just seven runs with the bat. He would take 62 off his next 28.

Syria air strikes: How events unfolded
The U.S. government is also expected to announce new sanctions against Russian Federation over its involvement in Syria. The Western trio swiftly reverted to diplomatic efforts, with leaders facing flak at home over the punitive attack .

The commentators praised the delivery but were not too convinced after the first round of replays, though when Snicko showed a minor lift they thought Pandya's review would be for nought. And from there on it was complete carnage as Rohit was finally dismissed for 94 in the last over of the innings, not before slamming 10 fours and 5 sixes in another of his marvellous innings in this edition of the IPL. The defending champions MI lost their first two matches of IPL 2018 in thrilling last ball/last wicket encounters.

Sharma eventually fell for 94 in the last over to Corey Anderson, but not before he had hit the Kiwi for three successive boundaries to see his side well past the 200 mark. Despite that first over and the sixth that went for only four, Mumbai made 60 off the Powerplay. On the other hand, even young Markande did not let RCB break free.

Mumbai Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell McClenaghan got two-two wickets each, while spinner krunal Pandya got three wickets. Kohli said MI had played fearlessly when they had their backs to the wall, and RCB just could not break through.
