The Moto E5 Plus succeeds the Moto E4 Plus, whereas the Moto E5 replaces the existing Moto E4 device.

The pricing of Moto E5 Play is still unknown while the phone is said to available in the United States markert only.

Usually, there are tell-tale design elements that Moto G devices are in the "mid-range" of the smartphone spectrum, like a plastic back.

All in all, Moto's initial batch of smartphones for 2018 look pretty promising.

While the Moto G6 Play has been launched at a starting price of $199 which roughly translates to Rs 13,135 the Moto G6 Play will start at $249 (roughly Rs 16,435). You'll also find a 6-inch 1440x720 display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Motorola also on Thursday unveiled the cheap and cheerful Moto E5 and E5 Plus, which offer 5in and 6in displays, Snapdragon 425 and 435 internals and 2,800mAh and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively. With the regular G6, you're getting a better screen and a better phone for a few dollars more. And the display has a 1080p resolution, which anyone can be happy with.

It has fingerprint sensor located on rear panel, Front-ported loud speaker and Dolby Audio.

The G6 Play is the most affordable of the lot, sporting a Snapdragon 427 chipset coupled to 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage.

It's a nice touch that lets you hide the Android notification buttons so they get out of the way of your apps and content on the screen.

In the past, Motorola's Moto E line has generally been a slightly lower performer than the G series.

As usual, Motorola didn't stray too far from stock Android 8.0 Oreo here, and I'm still perfectly pleased by that. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC, with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, or 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.

"Leaked details also revealed a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, a front-flashing flash as well as what looked like a glass back", the report added. Each of the devices also includes a microSD card for expanded storage. However, Ron Amadeo at Ars Technica says the Moto G6 and its Play sibling are guaranteed to get one major OS upgrade, presumably to Android P, at some point in the future. These extra features seem genuinely useful, and they didn't feel like they bogged down the Moto G6's performance. We don't yet have a price for the U.S. but at an estimate, it will be around $300.

Advanced nano-coating technology creates a water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water such as accidental spills, splashes or light rain.

Flagship Android phones might get all the press these days, but not everyone has $800-and-more burning a hole in their pocket.

Motorola emphasized comfort in the Moto G6 design, and it delivers.

The Moto E series from Motorola is the budget range one, and it did have some well valued phones in the recent times, except for the Moto E4 series that received some flak except for the battery life they offered. The new Moto G6 series smartphones were one of the most awaited smartphones in the market today. With a 5.7-inch, 1,440-by-720 screen, the G6 Play also isn't quite as hulking as the E5 Plus.

The Moto G6 is the true successor to last year's victor of Best Budget Phone at the Trusted Reviews Awards.
