Barr was on the show with Roseanne co-star John Goodman to discuss the series' reboot, but things quickly got political when Kimmel turned the conversation to President Donald Trump as well as his opponent on the 2016 presidential election.

Kimmel prodded Barr about both her voting record and her character's-and even questioned her about her one-time friendship with Trump's Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"I think, you know, it's a new kind of fashion".

"No, I kept it and I'm not bringing it back".

She added: "I saw it happening in all the families I know, so I thought, 'Well this is, you know, it's good, hopefully it will get people talking to each other'".

Analysts say the visit may be part of a broader shift by the North to pivot from a confrontational stance to diplomatic outreach. South Korea's spy agency declined to confirm the report. "At present, I have no understanding of the situation you mention".

Barr made headlines Thursday after getting into a heated debate with Jimmy Kimmel as she and Goodman visited his late night show. I can tell you the exact moment I fell in love with it - when Darlene (Sara Gilbert), in the seventh grade in Season 2, reluctantly reads her pain-of-being-young-and-unseen poem, "To Whom It May Concern", at a school assembly. You all moved. You all went so fucking far out you lost everyone.

Kimmel then said: "How about Captain Wacko we got running the country?"

Barr, who counts herself as a Trump supporter, was not able to fully express why she backs the president so intensely.

"You want Pence? You want Pence for the freakin' president?"

"You want Pence? You want Pence for the frickin' president", Barr asked, referring to Vice President Mike Pence. Barr goaded Kimmel. When Kimmel responded, "No", Barr quipped: "Well, then, zip that fucking lip".
