How the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes affects the AFC West

With free agency's negotiating window beginning Monday, and with the official beginning of the signing period coming tomorrow afternoon, Keenum has reportedly agreed to a deal that presumably will bring the like-changing money - or at the very least, WAY more than Case Keenum's ever made -- that National Football League starting quarterbacks receive.

But with Keenum heading to Denver - and it'll be official once 4 p.m. Wednesday rolls around - one possible Plan B option is off the table for the Jets, in case they don't land Cousins. Previous year in Minnesota, Keenum started 14 games (11-3 record) and compiled a 98.3 passer rating. Keenum went 11-3 in 14 starts for the Vikings after taking over for Sam Bradford and played a big role in their run to the NFC Championship Game.

Case Keenum is reportedly leaving Minnesota to play with the Denver Broncos.

Neither the Oakland Raiders nor the Los Angeles Chargers have made a splash in the early free agency period.

Manchester Piccadilly train station closed by protest
A spokesperson for Network Rail added: "Due to a mass trespass incident, services into Manchester Piccadilly are now suspended". One eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News that she saw dozens of protesters.

He was 3-2 in 2015, a season in which future Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles began the season as the starter.

Overall, Keenum's two-year deal will be worth roughly $50 million less than the three-year deal Kirk Cousins is expected to get from the Vikings. The trade market has already been busy, with the Buffalo Bills sending Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns and the Redskins trading for former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, which cemented Cousins' status as a pending free agent. Harris, however, thinks that with the addition of Keenum, the Broncos' offense is trending in the right direction.

Denver chose to bypass incumbents Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch and go for Keenum, who can't sign until Wednesday. With Denver committing a first-round pick to Lynch coupled with the fact that he has very little trade value, the Broncos were always likely going to deal Siemian away. "Obviously we've got to get better at that position". The importance of ball security can not be overstated after the Broncos' quarterbacks fired 22 picks last season.

Elway has consistently said his goal in free agency is to "find what makes sense for us cap-wise and from a personnel standpoint". Re-signing last year's starter, Josh McCown, could round out the Jets' quarterback room.
