Referring to his campaign slogan of the 2016 presidential elections, Trump said he can't use it in 2020 because of the incredible accomplishments of his administration.

Trump also touted his new tariffs on steel and aluminum, which are popular in the district in the heart of steel country.

But Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, also appearing on Todd's show, brushed off Trump's vulgar language, including his description of Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, the ranking member of the House Committee on Financial Services, as a "low IQ" person.

Trump said the United States has been running huge trade deficits, and that a lot of things have to be set straight.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters in a packed airplane hangar outside of Pittsburgh, Trump gave one of his trademark speeches including a rare imitation where he feigned what it would be like to act "presidential". "It was great to see North Korea going and participating".

When his attention was on the race here, he seemed keenly aware of the size of his own victory in the district in 2016. Saccone is struggling in a district he should win easily.

"You saw yesterday's numbers - yesterday's job reports were among the best number produced in the history of our country", he said.

The visit is a politically risky one for Trump - Saccone has lost his early lead in the race as Democrats in the district, with an anti-Trump message, gained momentum.

The special election is to replace Republican Rep. Tim Murphy, who resigned a year ago amid revelations of an extramarital affair in which the anti-abortion lawmaker urged his mistress to get an abortion when he thought she was pregnant. "We need more Republicans to continue our already successful agenda!"

Trump endorsed Saccone in January, and outside Republican groups have spent more than $10 million on the race in support of Saccone, who's weak fundraising numbers have seen him outraised by Lamb by almost five-to-one in the first seven weeks of the year.

DETROW: And he told the crowd he needs Republicans to do it. Democrat Conor Lamb may be conservative, Trump said.

However, it is important that African countries carefully consider the terms of those investments . He also told the Kenyan government that it should not threaten the courts.

Trump explained that the Democrats have no new ideas so all they can do is obstruct and delay. Don't forget this got us elected. "We need him. We need the votes", Mr. Trump said.

"People have paid into these programs over the course of a lifetime", Lamb told more than 300 retired coal miners and Democratic activists in Waynesburg, 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Trump said he spoke with leaders in Asia about how they handled the drug problem. "And he's slightly younger than me".

But, it's also about Lamb's style and charisma, Republicans say.

For his part, Saccone was thrilled to have the president's help. I think they want to make.

President Trump pointed out that "if someone goes and shoots somebody, kills somebody they get the death penalty", suggesting that 2000 to 5000 deaths have been caused by each drug dealer. I said: 'Bye-bye. We're not making a deal.'" North Korea, he said, was "tough", and "should have been handled. and everybody will say it, too.

Singapore's model is more in line with the administration's goals for drug policy than some other countries, a senior administration official said.

"That's why we have a problem, folks", Trump continued.

Responding to speculation that women would not turn out to vote for him in the 2020 election, Trump said "Remember, women won't like Donald Trump".

President Donald Trump on Saturday offered a preview of his 2020 campaign, announcing his new slogan will be "Keep America Great!" because "Make America Great Again" is now outdated.
