Ambient mode provides useful information throughout the day, even when consumer are not watching movies and TV. The event not only introduced Samsung's future vision for the TV, but also gave attendees the opportunity to get hands-on with the newest range of 2018 QLED TVs.

"QLED offers Samsung's best premium TV experiences, and we believe it's important to ensure that we offer a range that is accessible and relevant to Australian households regardless of home design, personal tastes, living room format, or viewing habits", said Mahdi.

Samsung unveiled it's new line of TVs, home entertainment pieces, and overall innovations. This cable is available at lengths up to 15m / 50ft, making it possible for owners to have a clean, clutter-free installation while enabling them to mount the TV anywhere (available on the Q7 and greater models with the exception of the Q8F).

Two series of QLED sets, the Q8 and Q9, will offer FALD while the remaining two, the Q6 and Q7, will not; they'll have edge-lit backlights.

Trevor Long travelled to NY as a guest of Samsung Australia. The game, shown on a QLED TV that enhances the immersive experience, was broadcasted live on YouTube.

Among everything Samsung has to offer with this year's TVs, Ambient Mode is the most interesting. However, all of these new TVs are sold as both flat and curved editions. When the TV is turned off, it doesn't need to be simply black, as the Ambient mode allows users to showcase important information instead.

Violence in Tripura continues after vandalisation of Lenin's statue
Through the Facebook post, Raja said that Periyar statues in his state could be the next justifying the Tripura incidents. Asked if the BJP should take action against Raja, Haasan said "that would be the proper, decent thing to do".

All new QLEDs have an "Ambient Mode" that uses your phone to capture a photo of the environment behind it, and then creates a matching look on screen.

The premium TV maker is focusing on lifestyle features in 2018, creating TVs that blend in with their surroundings so well they nearly disappear.

It can play music and display the time, news headlines, traffic reports or weather updates. The new TVs also come with support for Samsung's Bixby assistant, as well as energy-saving features that can help turn off the TV if it doesn't sense a smartphone or a human nearby.

Samsung's new 2018 Q6FN TVs are the entry-level QLED TV models. These UHD TVs include features such as 4K UHD and HDR picture capabilities, clean cable solutions, slim design and Smart TV capabilities. More broadly, the trend towards turning TVs into hubs for smart home control via voice assistant technology is becoming popular with LG, Sony and others all having their own versions of it, though Samsung's is a native platform that doesn't integrate external smart assistance providers such as Amazon or Google.

Ultra-Large Screen TVs: Models including the Q6FN, NU8000, Q7F and Q9F are included in the ultra-large screen TV lineup, offering screen sizes that are 75-inch or larger.

That experience will be coming, and coming soon, with the Australian models coming in April, though pricing to come later on.
