"I have to admit Celtic's defensive structure, which had been all over the place, looked excellent last weekend to go against my prediction that they'd lose the first leg", the ex-Arsenal striker told Sky Sports.

Diving and snoods may come and go, but Brown will always be Celtic's beating heart, a real footballer's footballer.

They are aiming to reach the last 16 for the first time since 2003/04 when Rodgers' fellow Ulsterman Martin O'Neill's side lost to Villarreal in the quarter-finals.

"They have to, when you look at the game last week".

"I think the way we played over the last two seasons we've been developing, playing different formations, different styles against top quality teams", he said.

Zenit may not be the force that they have been over previous campaigns but they lie second in the Russian Premier League and have experience in the knockout rounds of the Champions League as recently as two seasons ago. We were the real team of dominance in every aspect of the game.

Ferrari 488 Pista announced
A new version of Ferrari's Side-Slip Angle Control system, now up to v6.0, adds the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer (FDE) into the mix. Pista being Italian for the word " track ", it is easy to see why Ferrari has chosen the name to grace the vehicle.

"European football is notoriously very hard for ourselves but I think we showed in the first leg how well we can play". Of course, we would have liked to have had one or two more goals but the concentration and our quality in our game was at a very high level.

Speaking at Celtic's hotel in St Petersburg yesterday, Rodgers said: "It would be a huge achievement for us".

"Yes he's a good player with a great left foot", he said in a press conference on Wednesday, when asked to rate Tierney and the Celtic team.

"When you have big players and they have made that investment, then, of course, they will know that and they will want to show their true face in the game".

"For us, we have analysed the game from the first-leg and, even though we played very well, creating opportunities and didn't concede, there are still areas where we can be better".
