It should have never come to Wednesday's FA Cup replay, but Tottenham Hotspur have, at long last, defeated League Two side Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup, 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Erik Lamela has rubbished speculation linking him with a move away from north London and insists he is enjoying his time under Mauricio Pochettino as he strives to return to peak form and fitness.

Newport were looking to cause one of the greatest upsets in FA Cup history as they took on a much experienced Tottenham side in a fourth round replay.

Following a slow start by the hosts, Spurs grew into the game after the opening goal.

Dan Butler's own-goal midway through the first half handed Spurs the lead, before Eric Lamela knocked the fight out of the Exiles in the 34th minute.

The victor of that match will host the victor of Spurs-Newport County, which kicks off this afternoon at Wembley Stadium.

"People would think that there's more money in football than tattooing but that's for players in the Championship and above", he says.

Days before one of the biggest games in their history, Flynn has told the Sun that they have parted ways with the 29-year-old because of his desire to become a tattoo artist.

Tsunami Warning mistakenly sent to phones
The weather service is looking into it. "Severe Weather Alert", the notification read, "Tsunami Warning in effect for [Location]". Last month, residents of the West Coast were warned to brace for possible tsunami after an quake off the coast of Alaska.

Despite the overriding importance of the Premier League, Tottenham was clearly grateful for a second bite of the cherry after Harry Kane's late equaliser had saved their blushes during the original tie.

Mauricio Pochettino's men piled wave after wave of pressure onto their visitors, but weren't as clinical as usual in front of goal.

Spurs, fast becoming the complete team, were not about to give them another go at it.

The Cup run - which also saw them beat Leeds United - is a far cry from last season when they nearly lost their league status.

It is now four games without a win in all competitions for Newport County and they have slipped down to 11th in League Two after their 2-0 loss to Colchester on Saturday.

Tottenham broke the deadlock on 26 minutes.

"Pádraig Amond, he's a good mate of mine", Jackman said.

Eriksen forced Day into a smart save with a cross-shot from the right on 81 minutes, before substitute Dele Alli hit the bar from 14 yards out after being played in on goal by the Dane two minutes later.
