Pakistan stands behind Kashmiris, says Pak PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

With all our political differences aside, there is no second opinion in Pakistan on the Kashmir dispute.

In their separate messages on this day, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have said the dream of peace and prosperity in the region will remain elusive without resolving decades-old Kashmir dispute.

Stressing upon unity for highlighting the Kashmir issue at all the global fora, the prime minister said the issue would remain alive till its peaceful resolution as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the United Nations resolutions.

The foreign minister Pakistan always wanted the peaceful solution to the core issue of Kashmir and the world should ensure early implementation of the United Nations resolutions for that goal.

The Prime Minister, referring to the PaK Assembly and Council, said the house had been a seat of unanimity among different Kashmiri leaders, who lent unequivocal support to the people in the Indian Administrated Kashmir.

Addressing a public gathering regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day here at the University College ground, he was optimistic that the freedom struggle in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) will be victorious soon.

"I really get hurt when I am called a terrorist by elements in the Pakistani media for speaking on the issue of Kashmir", he said.

The Prime Minister said the federal government will extend all possible support for the development of the PaK.

The development budget for the PaK had been doubled.

Singh also mounted an attack on the Congress-led UPA and termed Manmohan Singh a mute spectator to the corruption by his ministers.
