Off-colour Aubameyang may have to wait for Arsenal debut

Mkhitaryan, who struggled to convince Jose Mourinho of his qualities at United, marked his first Arsenal start by providing three assists — including one for fellow new recruit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang — in a 5-1 rout of Everton. He doesn't rush it, and that's maybe the secret to being efficient.

It took six minutes for Arsenal to break the deadlock with Ramsey finishing off a lovely build-up play from the right flank.

"Well done to him, he scored on his debut, Micki as well with a few assists, hopefully, there is a lot more to come and they can help us finish off the season strongly".

Toffees boss Sam Allardyce said after the game all of his players were "crap" after he altered his system to mimic that of Swansea - who shocked Arsenal when they beat them earlier in the week.

Maybe it's the kick up the backside that Lacazette needed to get him going but Aubameyang's arrival means there's a new sheriff in town.

Aubameyang made his first significant contribution after 13 minutes, shooting wide after another good contribution from the industrious Ramsey. "They are quick and overall it was a first convincing performance".

Everton conceded three times in the opening 20 minutes amid defensive chaos, with Ramsey touching in the opener from Mkhitaryan's cross.

Laurent Koscielny was also on target to make it 4-0 at half time and ruined Theo Walcott's return to the Emirates as he was substituted on the hour mark with the visitors outclassed. The former Gunners winger looked certain to score until Mustafi intervened with a brilliant block.

Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang have this connection that you can clearly see on the pitch, they are always looking for each other.

His shot deflected off the debutant Mangala, wrongfooting Pickford and trebled the Gunners lead as the ball settles in the net behind the 'keeper.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who came on as a substitute headed home a consolation for the Toffees in the 64th minute, before Ramsey completing his first ever hat-trick ten minutes later with a attractive crisp.

A goal for the Blues did come in the 64th minute after Walcott, in a reflection of the futility of the game from Everton's perspective, had been withdrawn and Calvert-Lewin had come on in his place.
