Addressing the second ministerial meeting under the framework of the China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States Forum, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China will actively support Latin America in the fields of transportation, infrastructure and energy. The continent's major powers reject the regime, but are cautious about piling on more economic misery with Venezuela on the brink of chaos.

Reports this week suggested Washington fears that Mexico will also see such interference in July, when voters will choose a successor to President Enrique Pena Nieto.
