Yamcha may be a force to contend with in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but he's still just one of 24 characters to get to know when the game releases on January 26. Dragon Ball FighterZ always uses teams of three characters, and so the Z assist moves are ways of quickly calling in one of your allies to take a swipe at your opponent, before retreating to the sidelines.

While Xenoverse was all about 3D, battles between the 24 characters in the game's roster take place in 2D arenas, just like the classic arcade fighting games of years gone by. Her creation was supervised by the series' author, Akira Toriyama. The new character, Android 21, seems to play a major part in the story. Android 21 is a scientist who has the same level of knowledge as the creator of the Androids, Dr. Gero. Android 16 will supposedly play an important role in the story as well.

The most interesting thing about her character gameplay wise is her Tasting Cut Ultimate Attack, which lets her drain her opponent's energy and learn their attacks.

The siblings rarely saw the sun, showered once a year and were chained to their beds for weeks at a time, Hestrin said. Hestrin detailed some of the gruesome allegations against the parents at a news conference on Thursday.

The game's three-pronged story mode is also engaging enough to stoke the interest of any fan of the TV series as players can move through it from the perspective of the Z Fighters, then the Villains and finally the Androids. Yamcha may be a running joke by now in the Dragon Ball series with the character getting beaten, excluded, and killed off in nearly every saga across the various series, but his upbeat theme definitely doesn't make him seem that way.

As with many a fighting game before it, the pay-off of winning similar-feeling battles over and over eventually begins to melt away. Android 17 now has a brand new fighting style, and he is now able to absorb attacks with a new ability. Limit Burst offers a boost to the player's abilities that varies depending on the fighter, as well as the number of enemies on the opposing team.
