After producing a sensational comeback from two goals down to beat Real Sociedad 4-2 Sunday, Barcelona sits nine points clear at the top of La Liga and everything in its garden looks rosy again.

However Suarez set up Paulinho to pull one back before half-time, before scoring twice himself.

The weekend had a surprise hero in Girona striker Michael Olunga, who came on as a second half substitute and scored a 35 minute hat-trick as his side thrashed a hapless Las Palmas 6-0. Though is true that Gero Rulli - one of the most overrated goalkeepers in Europe - did not even move, the ball simply defied the laws of physics as it dipped under the crossbar and into the bottom corner.

By now the world should be used to moments of magic from Lionel Messi, but still the Barcelona wizard has the capacity to surprise.

Real Sociedad could become Barcelona's next victim.

Messi still has a way to go to match his 37 goals in the league last season, but he is now outscoring the Real strikeforce easily.

Root was unbeaten on 91 at the end as England reached 308-5 in the 49th over, having joined Roy in the sixth over when England was 60-2.

Meanwhile, Eusebio Sacristan should employ tactics that are similar to the ones that Barcelona usually use, focusing on possession-based football that starts from the back end of the pitch. "The best way to finish the first round of fixtures is by winning, by turning a game around which we were losing".

As for Barcelona, Sergio Busquets returned from a La Liga suspension, while there was a spot in midfield for Andre Gomes as Andres Iniesta and Ousmane Dembele both started on the bench.

Real Sociedad have scored six goals in the first 15 minutes of games in La Liga this season, more than any other side.

"We knew how to recover from a negative situation and registered another victory in the League at a ground that has always been hard for us", he said after the game.

The Catalan giants remain unbeaten in all three major competitions this season and are now beginning to add some style to their displays. But the fact of the matter is, for the first time in several years, Barcelona were in a great position to break the niggling jinx.

Barcelona's goals at Real Sociedad were scored by Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Paulinho.
