A month before Zainab's disappearance, a nine-year-old girl disappeared from Kasur's city center.

People took to streets after a seven-year-old Pakistani girl was raped and murdered in the Kasur district. Her parents were in Saudi Arabia for Haj at the time of the incident.

An autopsy has confirmed that Zainab was strangled and sodomized and suggests she was raped, the medical officer who carried out the examination, Dr Quratulain Atique, told CNN.

Her body was found in a trash heap five days later.

Nobel Peace prize victor Malala Yousafzai, condemned the murder of Zainab, saying "such brutal incidents have to stop".

Iqbal said that the search for the girl's killer was underway although so far they have had no credible lead.

Another police spokesperson, Khalid Iqbal, said complaints have been registered against three policemen over the death of the protestors on Wednesday.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the prompt arrest of the suspects and said he would personally supervise the progress of the case.

Canada says outbreak over
Currently, no common supplier, distributor, or retailer of leafy greens has been identified as a possible source of the outbreak. The CDC says state and local health officials are interviewing patients to try to determine what they ate before getting sick.

Lawyers boycotted judicial proceedings at district bar in protest and demanded early action into the matter.

Zainab's body was found on Tuesday in a rubbish bin, said senior police officer Imran Nawaz Khan. I want the culprits involved in this heinous crime behind the bars.

The Zainab's last moment captured in CCTV footage show her walking hand-in-hand with a stranger.

According to data compiled by NGO Sahil a year ago, about 11 cases of child sexual abuse are reported from across the country everyday.

"Heartbroken to hear about Zainab, a child abused and brutally killed in Kasur, Pakistan". Gen. Asif Ghafoor tweet: "COAS condemns the cold-blooded murder of innocent Zainab".

Two people were killed on Wednesday when police fired at angry protesters in Kasur, and a local resident said schools, offices, and markets remained shut in the town on Thursday.

The Govt and Concerned security institutions have to act swiftly to punish the guilty and ensure that children are better protected and the government must be mindful of its responsibility to protect the life, honour and property of the masses.
