"I'll just be like everybody else with no hot tea", Carey complained.

A few days ago Mariah Carey announced on social media that she would be performing at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve again this year in spite of her massive fail at last year's event. On top of that, only a true diva would withstand below freezing temperatures just to rock a hot, sparkly outfit.

"A third added: "If Mariah Carey can make it through that performance without her hot tea, then I can make it through another year".

The five-time Grammy victor revealed on New Year's Day that she was finally able to sip on her desired beverage after a beyond chilly night.

Carey first hit the Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve stage with a rendition of "Vision of Love", and things appeared to be going smoothly.

Pulwama encounter continues; 4 CRPF jawans, 3 terrorists killed
JeM statement issued to a local news agency in Srinagar stated the "blood of martyrs is yielding results". Director General of Police S P Vaid termed the attack "unfortunate" and lashed out at Pakistan.

"Okay, well we'll just have to rough it", she added.

Carey is known for being a diva and with her past reality programs, HSN shopping infomercials, and headline-worthy appearances has a reputation for being a woman who celebrates the luxuries in life.

The 47-year-old was decked in a sparkling nude gown, a knee-length white fur coat and enough jewels to compete with the Time Square Ball as she made her way to the mic to wow the crowd. While at least she got through this year without a major meltdown like last year, the final result still isn't great.

But all was forgotten this time around: "I'm feeling a lot than past year, when I had to get my own police escort", Carey told Seacrest after he congratulated her on the broadcast. Sources have said it meant a lot to her because she needed to prove to her fans that she can deliver a great performance live.
