Apparently, Collins met with Apple and Giants interim coach Steve Spagnuolo on Wednesday morning and offered a mea culpa of sorts for how this played out.

Bob Wischusen was filling in Tuesday and asked Collins about how he would self scout the year and what went wrong with the guys at corner.

"That first-round pick. he's a cancer", Collins said. "That would be the only person I would change out of our secondary". Besides that, the other two guys, DRC (Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie) and Jackrabbit (Janoris Jenkins), I love those two guys. They play hard. They love what they do.

According to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network, the Giants suspended the 2016 first-round pick for Week 17. Apple was declared inactive for a game shortly after his mother underwent brain surgery.

Collins sustained a fractured forearm while tackling D.J. Foster in the second quarter of Sunday's 23-0 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The latest episode involving Apple came earlier this week, when teammate Landon Collins called him "a cancer", comments for which he later apologized.

Of course, the last time Collins said he had met with Apple - on December 13 - the conversations were denied by Apple the following day.

In the editorial "GOP's dubious achievement" (Dec. 21 ), it was stated that the bill will "cost 13 million their health insurance".

The news safety Landon Collins apologized for calling Apple a cancer in a NY radio interview Tuesday.

The Giants host the Washington Redskins (7-8) on Sunday in their season finale. The following day, Apple denied that the conversations ever occurred. Apple was inactive for four consecutive games from November 19 to December 10.

Head coach Ben McAdoo was sacked earlier in the month. "I spoke highly of him".

NY went to the playoffs last season, but 2017 has been a nightmare for the Giants.

Per, Apple was benched for the first three series in the team's fifth game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers, reportedly for talking back to a coach at practice.
