5-Year-Old Calls Police to Report the Grinch

And, that's exactly what happened when a five-year-old from Byram, Mississippi, made a decision to take matters into his own hands. He was anxious. Christmas was coming up, but it was in danger, he told the dispatcher. So he called 911 to get help from the police. TyLon, who wants to be a police officer when he grows up, was thrilled. The icing on this heartwarming Christmas tale came on Monday, when Byram's Police Department arranged for the boy to literally lock up the Grinch in a holding cell inside the department's headquarters. Then she put on her uniform.

Pittman's brother posted two video clips of the visit on Facebook Saturday.

But almost an hour later, on Saturday night, there was a knock at the door.

It was for that reason she went above and beyond to make sure TyLon felt that his Christmas was secure.

Pittman then called TyLon to the door where the grinning officer stood.

"My 5 year old brother called the police and said that the Grinch is stealing people Christmas and he don't want him to steal his so they really came to our house!" Not long after placing that call, a police officer showed up to help.
