Showtime has released the premiere date and first trailer for Homeland season 7 and it appears to offer a thrilling ride.

The action-packed clip shows Claire Danes, 38, as former Central Intelligence Agency agent Carrie Mathison ready to take down a corrupt administration. The new episodes will pick up after Carrie has left her job serving the president who ordered those arrests (Elizabeth Marvel) and has embarked upon a rogue mission to free her former colleagues. The Alex Jones-like conspiracy theorist (Jake Weber) has also returned, and it's clear from the trailer that he still has it in for the president. Boardwalk Empire's actor Morgan Spector also joins the cast as Dante Allen, an old friend of Carrie's who is looking into the hundreds of people Keane detained following last season's assassination attempt. "They've been calling me that for years", he went on to say.

Keane has broken her promise to Carrie by arresting 200 member of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them including Carrie's friend/sometimes nemesis Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). In addition, Carrie will be working to get the incarcerated agents released.

SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral delayed to no earlier than Friday
Since the incident, SpaceX had moved its launches to Pad 39A, which is where the Apollo missions to the Moon had blasted off. Capture of the automated cargo carrier by the space station's Canadian-built robotic arm is expected at 6 a.m.

The trailer runs through several plot points from the upcoming season, with Saul seen both being sent to federal prison and ascending to the post of National Security Advisor.

"Homeland" has a return date: The show's seventh and penultimate season will launch February 11, at 9 p.m., Showtime announced Tuesday.
