Aspiring rapper, Palm Beach County retiree become buds through 'Words with Friends'

The pair have played more than 300 games together - and the rapper said they have become friends despite the distance between them.

A young man finally met the 86-year-old woman he befriended through an online word game, and now their friendship is melting hearts.

The Washington Post reported that the friendship really took off when Guttman used the word p-h-a-t, hip-hop slang for excellent.

Sleyon's tweet, and accompanying photos of the two embracing each other, have over one million likes and thousands of re-tweets - clearly, people love these two. The pastor arranged for a meeting in West Palm Beach on Friday. The meeting was arranged by Amy Butler, a pastor from NY. And last week that got to meet for the very first time.

But the issues of the rights of expatriate citizens and the UK-EU border on the island of Ireland defied a deal until the last minute.

Words With Friends is a multi-player Scrabble-like mobile phone game which was launched in 2009.

Spencer wrote: "So last summer I randomly met this 80 y/o woman on words with friends. we played 300+ games together and she actually ended up becoming a good friend of mine". When Sleyon was visiting his friend a while back, Butler overheard them talking about Guttman.

"She came to me weeks later and asked me how would I be interested in going to Florida for a day to meet her", Sleyon said.
