David de Gea's lightning reflexes have been beyond doubt for some time now but with Arsenal's shot-count hitting 15 on target, it was clear when all was said and done who José Mourinho's side were indebted to.

Arsenal had a few more chances after conceding the third, but after Pogba was sent off in the 74th minute for a stamp on Hector Bellerin, United finally started defending with some goal, and limited the Gunners to half chances to see out the result.

The Frenchman deservedly received a straight red card and will miss three games, including next week's derby against City.

"If it was hard, no; if it was mud, no - the pitch is absolutely handsome but I think they were a bit too much".

"I think it was a fantastic game", Mourinho, whose United sides had managed only one goal in their previous seven aways to Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, told reporters. We were too on the edge mentally maybe - you can not be in a game like that. I leave for you that one.

"We played well but there is nothing more frustrating when you have that quality of performance and nothing to show for it at the end".

Ratko Mladic , the ethnic Serb "Butcher of the Balkans" to life in prison for genocide against Bosnian Muslims. Wednesday's hearing is the final case to be completed at the tribunal before it closes its doors next month.

"There were unbelievable individuals performances and collectively we were very strong". "A bit disappointed with this colleague, Koscielny, with this kind of reaction", Mourinho said.

The last meeting between the pair was United's visit to the Emirates Stadium in May, when Wenger secured his first league win over Mourinho at the 13th attempt, a 2-0 victory.

Until Pogba's dismissal, everything had looked ideal for United, for whom David De Gea was outstanding and was beaten only by Alexandre Lacazette just after the interval.

'We are second and are chasing the top of the table. Although Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back, Jesse Lingard netted a third for United.

"We have produced an excellent performance but have conceded three goals and had at least 10 chances and were not efficient enough in the box, that is the reality".

Mourinho added: "I told De Gea after the match, what I saw today was the best from a goalkeeper in the world".
