December 2 will bring a veteran musical guest and a first-time host.

As Kevin Hart famously once said, "It's about to go down!"

All your favorite fall shows might be ending as December approaches, but at least you can rest easy knowing we've still got plenty of Saturday Night Live to help you withstand the holidays.

The Disaster Artist actor-director James Franco is to guest host Saturday Night Live Dec. 9, NBC announced Monday. The star of Brooklyn, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Hanna has been getting rave reviews for her performance in the indie darling Lady Bird, so it comes as no surprise that SNL brought her in to host, especially after bringing in the likes of Kumail Nanjiani and Tiffany Hadish to host earlier this season.

"SNL" will switch to a veteran host and a newbie musical artist on December 10.

Christmas tree farmers expect to sell more this year

The next episode will air December 9th, hosted by The Deuce's James Franco with musical guest SZA.

Musical guests for the Franco episode will be SZA, and Hart's will be Foo Fighters.

Hart has been the host of Saturday Night Live twice before, but will arrive this time in order to promote Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which hits theaters on December 20.

SNL ends 2017 with a bang on December 16 when comedian Kevin Hart hosts the show for the third time, days ahead of the release of his latest film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

The November episodes of Saturday Night Live were mostly a disappointment, so hopefully these three episodes finishing out 2017 will end the year on a strong note.
