LeBron James, Dwyane Wade not happy about David Fizdale firing

Stephen Jackson stood up for deposed Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale on Instagram in the most authentically Stephen Jackson way possible; by igniting an unnecessary feud.

Earlier, LeBron had tweeted that Fizdale could have been the "fall guy" for the struggling Grizzlies, who have lost 8 straight games. Associate head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has been named interim coach.

Fizdale, a widely respected coach around the league, was in just his second season on the job. The franchise cornerstone was benched by Fizdale in the fourth quarter of the team's last game.

"After a thorough evaluation, I decided a change in course was necessary to move forward and provide the team and organization its best chance at success this season and beyond", general manager Chris Wallace said.

The Ohio State Buckeyes continued their dominance over the Michigan Wolverines with a 31-20 victory at the Big House on Saturday. They went ahead 14-0 on the first play of the second quarter on a 2-yard touchdown pass from O'Korn to tight end Sean McKeon.

"I don't know if there's anything to be said", is how Gasol phrased it, after the game.

"Ahhhhh, do I have faith in the coaching staff?", he asked rhetorically, according to Geoff Calkins of The Commercial Appeal. Now Fizdale is the second National Basketball Association coach fired this season, joining Earl Watson, who was sacked by Phoenix three games into the season.

Marc Gasol is Memphis' lone upright star, with point guard Mike Conley injured and longtime forward Zach Randolph and shooting guard Tony Allen having been shipped to other destinations during the offseason. They did, however, beat the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets on back-to-back nights in October.

He also was an assistant coach with Minnesota and in Charlotte under his father, Bernie Bickerstaff.
