Guntur: The BCCI's U-19 women's one-day super league match between Kerala and Nagaland on Friday ended in farce as the Northeastern state was shot out for just two runs with as many as nine batters getting out for duck. The team collapsed after Kerala skipper Minnu Mani grabbed four wickets and others did not let the opposition reach double figures.

The Nagaland women's Under-19 cricket team posted one of the most incredible scorecards in cricket as they scored just two runs - one by the opening batsman Menka and another in the form of a wide -as they effectively went from two for zero to two all out in 11.4 overs. Opener Menka was the only player to score a run for Nagaland as nine players finished on a duck and one remained unbeaten on 0. "It was a great win".

Strangely, it's not the first time Nagaland women have been involved in an unusual match. "Credit goes captain Minnu and other girls in the squad", the coach said. We have been playing good cricket but today girls were exceptional. Nagaland was not a great side and they were scoring 20's, 30's and 40's but bowling them out for two was brilliant. In the year 2006, Nepal has achieved the target for winning a match just in two balls against Myanmar.

At present, the state has two players- Tahmeed and Petinezo Rupereo - in the combined U-19 team of NE and Bihar.

CBS and Dish Reach Carriage Agreement
In total, 28 local channels in 18 markets across 26 states were pulled off the air until the two companies came to an agreement . Besides rallying the TV remote soldiers, the site offers a glimpse into Dish and CBS's tense negotiations.

Jamir attributed the abysmal performance to lack of facilities, absence of coaching and a dearth of funds. It also became the only team from Northeast to qualify for the Super league.

Paceman Ishant Sharma took two wickets including Karunaratne for 51 to hurt the visitors, who opted to bat first on a green Nagpur pitch.

Meanwhile, Nagaland will be hosting four U-6 Vijay Merchant Trophy matches in December 2017 where Nagaland U-16 boys team will also participate.
