UCLA Officials Meet With Oregon's Chip Kelly About Football Coaching Position

He's immediately been on the list for any prominent job opening at the college level, but Florida and UCLA have emerged as Kelly's top two options. According to ESPN, Kelly is down to the UCLA Bruins and the Florida Gators.

UCLA appears better positioned to make an attractive offer to its coaching candidates than in recent years because of the influx of money from lucrative television deals and the record $280-million contract the school signed with Under Armour in 2016. This morning (Wednesday) it was reported that Kelly will only consider UCLA and Florida as landing spots.

The Los Angeles Times reported Kelly met with a contingent of athletics officials from UCLA as the Bruins look to replace Jim Mora Jr., who was sacked on Sunday. The fact that they acted so quickly to remove Mora and go after a highly-desried coach like Kelly shows that this time around in their coaching search, the Bruins are taking things very seriously. However, Kelly is 44-5 at the collegiate level during the regular season and 46-7 as a whole.

Selena Gomez accused of lip-syncing for AMAs performance
Another insisted she wasn't lip syncing, but had been using vocal production techniques to add another level to the performance. If you missed out on the show don't fret, we have a list of celebrities who managed to make a statement with their look.

Kelly has been out of coaching since 2016 after two National Football League stops with the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers were less than successful as he finished 28-35 in the pros. The Gators also have to (likely) compete with Nebraska for Frost's services, as the Huskers are likely to fire current head coach Mike Riley. He spent three years with the Philadelphia Eagles and one with the San Francisco 49ers, getting fired from both jobs.
