Woman with 'Fuck Trump' truck decal adds sheriff's name after being arrested

On Nov. 15, Nehls posted a message on his Facebook page that demanded the unknown driver come forward after the sheriff's office received several complaints from concerned residents. According to KHOU, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office got a tip about a 2014 warrant for Fonseca. Attorney Brian Middleton says those stops would have alerted Nehls to Fonseca before the sheriff targeted her online. "I think now it would be a good time to have meaningful dialogue with that person and express the concerns out there regarding the language on the truck", Nehls told reporters.

Karen Fonseca, driver of a truck bearing a profane anti-Trump message, was arrested November 16, 2017 on a felony warrant for fraud originating with the Rosenberg Police Department. "F*ck Troy Nehls and f*ck you for voting for him".

Fonesca shared an updated photograph to Facebook of her truck on Sunday, which showed the new Nehls sticker and another one, which simply said, "YEAH.". Fonseca, who was arrested just before the weekend on an unrelated fraud warrant, earlier unveiled another decal on her truck's back window that says "F-Troy Nehls and F-You For Voting for Him".

Fonseca said she first put the sticker on her husband's truck about 11 months ago, voicing her disapproval for Trump's proposed border wall.

The following day, Nehls erased the post. The message was placed right next to her existing decal criticizing President Trump. That was additionally when Fort Bend County District Attorney John Healey said he would not acknowledge charges, considering what he thought about the case. The indictment charges that Fonseca "pursuant to one scheme and continuing course of conduct, did, unlawfully and with the intent to harm or defraud another, obtain and or possess and or transfer and or use the identifying information of [name removed]".

Fonseca was arrested on Thursday over an outstanding fraud warrant issued in August.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas posted on Facebook that Fonseca's message is protected speech and urged her to reach out to the organization.
