Apple Pay Cash launches in beta

The unusual problem was first highlighted on Reddit where user TheCravin noted that 2 of their friends were suffering from the issue on their iOS 11.1-running iPhones.

While it was first said to be coming with the release of iOS 11, its release was delayed. You'll need at least $10 loaded into Apple Pay Cash to use it, and you'll need to have two-factor authentication enabled.

Once it's all ready, confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

Users will be able to add money to the card or transfer it out to their bank accounts.

Apple Pay Cash uses the debit or credit card linked to your Apple Pay account. Use Create Your Own to make planning your next get together with friends easier. Presumably, the functionality will eventually roll out to all of the regions where Apple Pay is already supported.

Only on iOS: Apple Pay Cash is available only on iOS, while Venmo, Square Cash and PayPal are available on both Android and iOS devices. This can take up to three days with each of the four P2P payment services. This seems to have worked for most of the people dealing with the problem.

While Apple has promised a software update to fix the issue, it has in the meanwhile provided a workaround that can bring some ease.
