TWO plane passengers have been arrested after a woman performed a sex act on the man sitting next to her during a flight.

A man and woman were ticketed for performing sex acts on a Detroit-bound Delta flight. Just two complete strangers getting it on in the middle of their row on a moving airplane.

Officials said the man and woman did not know each other before boarding the flight in L.A. The woman was traveling to Nashville while the man was headed to Miami.

About 600 men are refusing to leave a de-commissioned Australian centre on Manus Island saying they fear attacks from locals, reports the BBC.

"It's going to be very hard to find that this is criminal conduct under the federal code because it's not a threat to the safety of the airline, or other passengers", Henning said. "These things should be respected".

Both passengers were issued citations, and the investigation into the incident is being handled by the FBI, which could issue misdemeanor or even felony charges as soon as Tuesday.

The FBI are investigating but sources familiar with the case told the Detroit Free Press the passengers would only have to pay fines of up to $800 each.

Delta declined to comment, according to the WXYZ report.
