According to NBC, the Justice Department is speaking to witnesses about Flynn's lobbying work, as well as the possibility that he laundered money or lied about his overseas contacts.

White House officials have previously stressed that those charged to date were campaign officials who were not brought into government by Mr Trump. "Flynn, who was sacked after just 24 days on the job, was one of the first Trump associates to come under scrutiny in the federal probe now led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign". The Flynn charges will be more significant to the Russian Federation big picture because it will be the first time that a Trump administration official is charged in connection with the Russian Federation scandal. Flynn's son traveled and worked with his father during the campaign and transition, and sources say Mueller could put pressure on Flynn to cooperate with the investigation in exchange for sparing his son.

Also part of Mueller's line of inquiry is the $530,000 Flynn received for consulting work on behalf of Turkey in the fall of 2016.

New Zealand chooses to bat vs India in 2nd T20
India's reply got off to a contrasting start with the hosts losing both their openers inside the first two overs of their innings. His blistering knock ensured New Zealand post a huge total of 196 runs with a loss two wickets on the board after 20 overs.

Sources told NBC that Flynn's son, Michael G. Flynn, could be indicted separately or with his dad.

Lawyers for Mr Flynn and his son, who worked with his father, declined to comment to NBC News. Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi wrote in a tweet published shortly after the news broke Sunday. The retired army lieutenant general was sacked in February after less than a month on the job after it was revealed he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about the extent of his dealings and communications with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.

On Oct. 27, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed the Trump administration viewed the Russian probe as "getting closer to conclusion" in an interview on Fox News' America's Newsroom. Both are facing a 12-count indictment for conspiracy against the United States, laundering money, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign principal. They are former campaign manager Paul Manafort, and former campaign aides Rick Gates and George Papadopoulos. More likely though, Flynn's son is a pawn to be used to get Flynn to talk.
