With a return to form for the story and a confident new lineup of modes, activities, and systems, Battle for Azeroth could be the expansion that returns World of Warcraft to its former glory.

Now there is no word as to when World of Warcraft Classic is set to release, and Blizzard has yet to share any details beyond the short cinematic trailer, but this does mean that players won't have to put up with the drama that comes with unofficial servers. The Horde (the "outcasts" of Azeroth, the orcs who came from a different world mostly) and the Alliance (mostly the humans) hate each other, and so, with this expansion, will go at each other's throats.

It is pretty fantastic to think that World of Warcraft, arguably the most popular MMORPG of all time, is still going strong 13 years after its debut. So stay tuned to GameZone for the latest on World of Warcraft Classic. Battle for Azeroth reignites the war between the Alliance and Horde factions as tensions grow beyond tolerance between Warchief Sylvanas and freshly crowned King Anduin.

And the company committed to returning US$15 billion to investors over the next three years through dividends and stock buybacks. The brand pulled in $112.5 million in revenue over the previous year and UL believes that there is room for more growth.

For those uninterested in the classic experience, Blizzard has also announced World of Warcraft's seventh expansion pack, Battle For Azeroth. Players will be able to create new characters in the new races, which for the Horde include the Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, and Zandalari Trolls. Since the focus of the new expansion is the Alliance fighting the Horde, it will be up to players to make as many allies as possible to give their side an advantage in the upcoming war, and this will be done via quests. Gamers will explore these islands with up to two other players, but no two experiences will be the same; even when players visit the same island twice, they will find new challenges and missions.

Battle of Azeroth also offers several new races for players to unlock, 10 new dungeons, and new mechanics such as the Heart of Azeroth and Warfronts.

More will be revealed throughout the weekend at BlizzCon, so check out the virtual ticket for the livestreams, if you bought it. We'll have a lot more info about Battle for Azeroth as Blizzcon continues.
