Microsoft's rumored Andromeda foldable mobile device: What might be inside?

As the leaked photos of the said patent show that the so-called Surface Phone would be a foldable device, and the recent rumors claim that it will be the case, there is no denying that they are all in sync with Nadella's claim that Microsoft's next mobile device will be unique, indeed. Some new reports suggest that Microsoft is working on a Courier-like foldable tablet that could come out with it as soon as next year. Rather than replacing your laptop, Andromeda would, instead, replace your phone by offering a foldable tablet with the capability to send texts and make phone calls.

Microsoft designers have been mulling the possibilities of these kinds of devices for several years, as evidenced by the company's "envisioning" videos from earlier this decade. The notebook app itself is designed in a way that mimics writing in a real notebook, with virtual pages that spread across the foldable device.

Despite Microsoft's recent announcement that it is killing its Windows Phone, rumors about the Redmond-based company's mystical Surface Phone continues to circulate online.

Let's face it, Windows Phone is dead.

It wasn't long ago when Microsoft chose to rename the app portal in Windows 10 to "Microsoft Store", this led to rumors about the company's plans for the portal. I, myself, hope Microsoft might have a lighter and simpler version of OneNote in the works - the same way that it introduced the simpler and more intelligent Sway as a sidekick to PowerPoint.

GameStop is launching a game rental subscription called PowerPass
A rental subscription allows GameStop to offset its troves of pre-owmed game inventory while getting revenue from subscriptions. The PowerPass program will reportedly only be available to PowerUp Rewards members, so the games can be tracked.

"We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today's market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device", Nadella told the Australian Financial Review previous year. Microsoft has also updated the look of the To-Do app with improved gradients and symbols.

Sources tell Windows Central that the device will launch in 2018 at the earliest, which seems incredibly soon. This will offer great user interface of a foldable display device.

So, what exactly is this Andromeda device and why should you care? I'm unable to verify if the device will be able to run Win32 programs.

For years, I used paper notebooks and non-digital pens to take notes. The main selling point of this device will be centred on pen input and ink.
