Her husband reported her missing after he came home from work and found that she hadn't picked up their children from day care, officials said. Papini maintained she couldn't accurately describe her abductors because they kept their faces covered and spoke Spanish.

During her alleged abduction, Papini told investigators she got into an altercation with the younger abductor in the bathroom when she was allowed to shower, Jackson says.

Papini corroborated the story, and both her and her husband, Keith Papini, passed a lie detector test.

The mysterious kidnapping case of Sherri Papini took two new twists Wednesday after authorities released the first sketches of her suspected abducters and revealed that the mother of two had male DNA on her clothes when she was found. Authorities on Wednesday shared additional details in her abduction, but the new information only seemed to add questions rather than offer any clarity.

On Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released sketches of the two women.

Authorities also revealed the existence of a male acquaintance from MI that Papini had been texting and had planned to meet when he was in California, then said he was not involved in the incident.

'Sherri appeared battered and bruised, her hair had been cut to shoulder length and she had a brand on her right shoulder, ' the sheriff's office said.

New details have emerged in the unsolved case of a California mother who was kidnapped for 22 harrowing days a year ago.

Though they still haven't caught the suspects who abducted Sherri Papini, they did find male DNA on her that didn't match her husband. "I'm, like, totally freaking out thinking, like, somebody grabbed her", he said.

Keith Papini said when he walked into her hospital room after she was freed, he was stunned.

'It has taken time for Sherri to recover to a point to be able to provide accurate details to the sketch artist, ' the Shasta County Sheriff's Office said in news release.

Authorities said they found DNA from a man and a woman, even though Papini said two women had kidnapped her last November. "They're described as Hispanic, with the younger suspect between 20 to 30 years old, 5'5" with a medium build, pierced ears, and coarse, curly black hair. The second woman was between 40 and 50 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with long, straight black hair with some gray in it, thick eyebrows and pierced ears, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

Keith Papini issued a statement to the Record-Searchlight Wednesday, saying, "We want to express our enormous gratitude to all of the many people who have publicly and privately supported us over the past year".

'The Sheriff's Office continues to examine the brand and its possible meaning, but details of the brand remain confidential as part of the on-going investigation, ' police said. "Just on the facts that we know it doesn't seem to be a sex trafficking or a sexual abduction in nature, and that is what we are trying to figure out: What was the objective?" he says.

The FBI is offering $10,000 for information that will help identify either of the two alleged abductors pictured above.
