The Warriors announced on Thursday that Green underwent an MRI on his knee that came back negative. Cris Haynes from ESPN.com said that Green is scheduled to have an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of his injury.

Green is a stat-sheet stuffer for Golden State and one of the league's top defensive players, as evidenced by his NBA Defensive Player of the Year nod last season.

Both teams shot the ball extremely well, with the Warriors shooting an absurd 53.8 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from three-point range and the Rockets shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from three, but doing so on 17 more attempts. "He was the guy who was bringing the energy and the life", coach Steve Kerr said. The team is also dealing with injuries to Andre Iguodala; who sat out the season opener, as well as Omri Casspi, who tweaked his ankle during the game. Kevin Durant's baseline jumper at the end went in just too late and Golden State squandered a big lead on the night it received its championship rings. It remains to be seen if Green will play, but the Warriors should be able to handle both those teams if they're playing their best basketball.

Golden State is now in flight to New Orleans, where it'll practice at Tulane around 3 p.m.
