Matthew Stafford will play in Week 6 Lions vs. Saints game

The New Orleans Saints will be back at home for the first time in three weeks as they take on the Detroit Lions. Despite shutting down the run game, they couldn't stop Cam Newton.

New Orleans (3-2) has never hit Stafford with the kind of ferocity the Saints brought to bear on Sunday. Stafford is the leader of this team, and Detroit has a better chance of winning this game with him under center.

All told, the Saints forced five Lions turnovers - Stafford's three picks and a pair of fumbles.

"I've been saying our swag just had to get to another level, and this game like this is gonna take us there", Lattimore said. The Lions won't go down without a fight, but in the end, it will be a win for the Big Easy.

New Orleans quickly jumped out to a 7-0 lead when Stafford was sacked in the end zone, fumbled while going down and the ball was recovered by the Saints' Kenny Vaccaro for a touchdown with 11:02 to go in the opener. The Lions' offensive line is still a mixed group, and a banged-up Stafford doesn't do much justice to resolve their lingering issues.

Against the Lions, Ingram had nine carries for 67 yards when he went over for a 1-yard touchdown with 10:46 left in the second quarter. "We had to close it out for 'em", Lattimore said. "That is the attitude that I have", Stafford said. "We fell a little bit too short".

Twitter promises 'new rules' after women hold day-long boycott
Twitter has been criticized for its somewhat ambiguous policies over the years over what is free speech and what is abusive. So now when Twitter shuts down McGowan to raise her voice against alleged rape, the Twitter users seems disappointed.

"For all the stuff we were doing right past year in practice, for some reason it wasn't translating to the field".

Just before halftime, Detroit drove the length of the field to a first-and-goal from the New Orleans 5, but the Lions came away with no points as Stafford threw four consecutive incompletions, preserving the New Orleans 31-10 lead. "Ever since I've been here, we'd win one, lose one, win two, lose three in a row".

Detroit was to receive the opening kickoff of the second half, and in that situation in recent seasons, the Saints' defense has often given up back-to-back scores that ended up serving as a catalyst for the opponent.

The Lions are now 3-3 entering their bye week. New Orleans sacked Stafford five times, broke up 16 passes and created five turnovers, and Jordan, who destroyed Detroit's beleaguered offensive line all day, made one more big play.

Ameer Abdullah had a 34-yard gain, but picked up only 20 yards on his other 13 rushes, while Theo Riddick's impact came in the passing game.

Ingram added emphatically on more than one occasion that he was glad to hear what Peterson was doing in Arizona (he was up to 81 yards and a touchdown in the first half at the time that Ingram was talking). Glover Quin left with a concussion, Golden Tate left with a shoulder injury and Greg Robinson left with an ankle injury.
