NOTES: Chargers DE Joey Bosa's first sack of the game was the first allowed by the Giants' offensive line in 122 pass attempts by QB Eli Manning.

Manning has led the team to a pair of Super Bowl titles since taking over the quarterback duties in NY, defeating the Patriots twice in two tries.

This is the Giants' worst start since the 2013 season.

Both teams were winless coming into the game. Chargers QB Philip Rivers passed Fran Tarkenton for 10th place on the all-time career passing yards list.

That score was set up by an outstanding defensive play from Melvin Ingram, who sacked Eli Manning, forcing a fumble that Ingram sprinted into a pile to recover at the Giants 10.

Tre Boston intercepted the Giants quarterback, who lost four receivers to injury during the game, on fourth down in the final minute to seal Anthony Lynn's first professional victory. Spencer Pulley snapped the ball before Philip Rivers was ready, and the ball bounced back into the end zone. Giants RB Orleans Darkwa's 23-yard touchdown is the longest of his career. Darkwa had just 53 yards in his first three games this season. "If it wasn't for him, I'd be playing in a soccer stadium", per Newsday's Bob Glauber.

They went into halftime with a one-point lead after nabbing a field goal with six seconds to go. His 58 yards also eclipse what the team has averaged per game over the first quarter of the season.
