Lorde concert early U.S. target

The outlet reports the law enforcement source is not involved in the investigation behind the shooting that took place at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, but was informed of Paddock's condo rentals.

The Life Is Beautiful festival this year featured the likes of Blink-182, Muse, Gorillaz, Lorde, and Aussie acts such as Hayden James and Middle Kids.

The Daily Beast first reported Paddock wanted to reserve rooms at The Ogden, a 21-story luxury condominium tower with a line of sight to the concert grounds.

A concert headlined by Kiwi artist Lorde could have been an early target for the man who killed 59 and injured more than 500 at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

While it's still an ongoing investigation, the public affairs officer for Fais Foley Warren and owner of the Ogden, was not able to confirm or deny whether Paddock rented out a condo unit in their building. I suggest you contact Metro [police].

While hundreds are still reeling from the aftermath of this Sunday's attack at Route 91 Harvest in Las Vegas, it has come to light that the shooter might have been targeting another Las Vegas festival the week prior, Life Is Beautiful.

The head of the festival, Justin Weninger, said in a statement, "The Life is Beautiful Festival family is devastated by the horrific events that took place on October 1 in our hometown of Las Vegas".

The official also confirmed that housekeeping was asked not to visit Paddock's room at Mandalay Bay for at least part of his stay.
