Google is still a few hours away from unveiling its new smartphones and other accessories. While the two new Pixel 2 phones do adopt a very similar build quality and spec breakdown inside, the two are quite different when it comes to their design.

It looks like Google is keeping that trend alive with the new 10mm-thick Pixelbook.

Both models continue to include fingerprint scanners on the back while competitors shift to either integrating biometrics into the screens or using facial recognition to authenticate users. Pixel 2 devices have an aluminum body, water resistance, better battery life, Active Edge feature, Always-On display, better Google Assitant, Portrait Mode camera, AR Stickers, and more.

The notebook has a 12.3 inch high-resolution touchscreen display while the thin keyboard has soft-touch keys and a backlit design. You can access Google Assistant by tapping or pressing on the right earbud, and the Assistant will be able to read notifications and messages to you through the Buds.

AI TAKES CENTER STAGE Google's voice-activated digital assistant will serve as the brains for all the speakers, just as Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri run their competing devices.

Though removing the headphone jack makes it easier for Google to waterproof the Pixel 2, it also means an entire ecosystem of consumer electronics is growing more and more obsolete.

It may also mean more action at wide receiver for freshman Kadarius Toney , who has 11 catches for 107 yards. McWilliams (12) celebrates a stop during the second quarter of the Florida Gators game against Vanderbilt.

The much anticipated Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL - a follow-up of last year's Google Pixel - have been launched at a retail price of $649 and $849.

Google put an eSIM inside the new phones, which will be used with Google Fi and other carriers.

Just like the Pixel phones, the earbuds come in three colors: black, white, and blue.

The device costs $49, and is available on October 19 - you can pre-order it starting today. It should provide up to 24 hours of listening time and charges through a USB-C port.

Google says a user can hold the button on the Pen and circle something on screen, with Assistant giving more information accordingly.

One of the standout features of the Pixel Buds is the real-time translation. That has now changed though with Google confirming that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be the first devices to make use of Google Lens - offering those device owners a richer way to engage with object and products around them using the Pixel 2's cameras. Both will be sold The Google Store and select retailers; so far, Google's website lists only Best Buy and Staples.
