Dileep Granted Bail By The High Court!

Earlier on four occasions - two each in the Trial Court and the High Court - his bail applications were rejected. He later married the popular actress Manju Warrier and divorced her after which he married actress Kavya Madhavan to whom he is still married.

A large number of fans gathered outside the Aluv Sub Jail, where Dileep has been lodged in since his arrest and celebrated the news by distributing candies and raising pro-Dileep slogans.

For those who do not know, a Malayalam actress had filed a molestation case against a few people including Dileep.

In a short span of time, Dileep had also become a part of nearly all the associations in the Malayalam film industry and became a superstar who had quite a lot fan following.

Chennai: In a reversal of public mood, Dileep stepped out of Aluva sub-jail to a cheering crowd that had thronged the premises on Tuesday evening.

This was Dileep's fifth bail plea, and the third before the High Court. The actor had been in jail for nearly three months now, after which he is finally getting to come out!

The actor, who landed in police custody on July 10, came out of the jail around 5.15 p.m. amidst much fanfare and celebrations by the jubilant supporters. However, rumours about Dileep's alleged involvement in the case began to do rounds.

After Dileep left the jail, he went back to his ancestral home in Paravoor Junction where he is expected to spend time with family and friends.

The High Court has imposed many restrictions on Dileep. The actor was asked to surrender his passport and issue a bond worth rupees one lakh, as a condition of granting bail.

Besides AMMA, producers' association and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) also expelled Dileep. There were chants in the actor's name and his fans even distributed candies expressing their joy. When the "Ramaleela" director Arun Gopi met the actor in jail and informed the good news, the actor reportedly broke down with emotion, according to Manorama News report and interview with the director Arun Gopi.
