LAR 35, DAL 30: Cowboys Fail To Close Out Rams At Home

The Seahawks travel to Los Angeles next week to play the Rams. Both have had much different starts to their careers, and it has been Prescott who has been more successful as he was the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year last season.

What time, channel are the Rams and Cowboys on?

The Cowboys meanwhile look to continue their success in October as they covered all four games a season ago, but in their last 10 overall they have covered in only three and in this spot where the line is flirting around the touchdown mark it might be tough for them to improve on that mark.

KEYS TO THE GAME: Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry while dealing with the distraction of his future status due to the court case involving his six-game suspension for a domestic violence incident.

Offensively, the Rams are averaging 35.7 points and 374.3 total yards (279.0 in passing and 95.3 in rushing) per game. RB Todd Gurley tied with KC's Kareem Hunt for National Football League lead with six total touchdowns (four rushing, two receiving).

On the ground, Todd Gurley rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns in 28 attempts while Tavon Austin added 14 yards in three carries. Jared Goff shredded the back-seven of the Cowboys, mostly because of poor play at linebacker for Dallas.

The Rams have come a long, long way.

Dallas rushed for 189 yards, aided by a 70-yard burst by Alfred Morris that set up a short touchdown. He needs three TDs to tie Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith of Dallas and Washington's Stephen Davis for most in first four games.

And while the offense as a whole has recorded a series of outstanding outings in the first three weeks of the season, Gurley recognized the challenge L.A. will face against the Cowboys.

Dallas will be a six-point favorite at home this Sunday, against a Rams team who many think are legitimate playoff contenders.

The Cowboys led the Rams 17-6 in the second quarter, and then despite the chance to make the Rams' one dimensional, the defense was terrible in a 35-30 loss.

Dak Prescott jumped into the spotlight in his rookie season a year ago. The Rams had to settle for another Zuerlein field goal and a 32-24 lead with 9:41 remaining.

That's how it goes sometimes and now Rams fans can continually play the highlight of Jared Goff connecting on a 53-yard touchdown pass to Todd Gurley to give the LA Rams the lead for good.

The 39 points were the highest total for the 49ers since the 2014 season.

When the Cowboys needed to make plays, they simply couldn't.

The Rams got some good fortune when they punted in the middle of the second quarter but Dallas' Ryan Switzer lost a fumble and the Rams regained possession at the Dallas 18. In the second half, Dak was under pressure far too often.
