Since, the device line of Nexus has been dead practically, therefore Google has brought its new smartphone "Pixel" as reference device as well as the Android One program is supposed to be taking place of Nexus. The most interesting feature rumored for the Google Pixel 2 is a new Portrait Mode for its Camera app. While this does not necessarily confirm the wireless charging feature on the new smartphones, but this could be the company's positive step forward towards this technology. The tentatively-named Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be launched at the event, giving us the newest hardware and software directly from Google.

Artem, on the basis of his experience with Verizon Pixel 2 for a brief time, and XDA Developers have learnt that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be introduced with a brand new Always Listening Music feature.

According to Gears Of Biz, the mobile devices will arrive with the new Music Recognition, a feature that will identify the music playing nearby the smartphones. While it's uncertain how Google is going to work around this kind of a feature, it might become really nifty for the people who have an eye for depth photography. Several leaks may have already outed this feature long ago. Expect both to have improved chipsets and Snapdragon 836 processors; all the newest high-end Androids, like Samsung's Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8, have Snapdragon 835 processors - the Snapdragon 836 processor is expected to debut mid-year with minor performance improvements over the 835, which would give Google the edge. The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be launched on October 4 and we will be covering it live straight from California, so stay tuned.

Google's new smartphones will most likely feature a wireless charging technology, which is based on the fact that the search engine giant has just been linked to the Wireless Power Consortium.

The new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are both expected to have a squeezable frame feature that's similar to the HTC U11.
