The other top Emmy 2017 nominees reflect the scope of our "peak TV" era. CBS isn't planning to air a pre-show, but E! will broadcast live from the red carpet starting at 4:30 EST. This is one of television's biggest nights, so of course it does make some sense that you would want to be a part of the festivities in any way that you possibly can.

Saturday Night Live is also set up for a big night with 22 nominations.

"In addition to Westworld" and "Saturday Night Live", the Washington Post predicts "This is Us" will also walk away with Emmy Awards tonight.
