Coutinho has not been involved for the Reds so far this season after being sidelined with a back injury, but manager Klopp is keen on re-integrating the player into his side for the Reds' crucial European Cup tie against Sevilla on Wednesday evening.

Despite his apparent return to fitness, Klopp made a decision to keep him out of the side against Manchester City and does not think the 25-year-old's presence would have had any bearing on the 5-0 scoreline at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

He added: "I'm not sure it's quite that easy, but if it is that easy - if we bring him in and then everything is great again - then that's cool".

After suffering a humiliating defeat in the hands of Manchester City on Saturday, Liverpool are aiming to field a more strengthened side including Philippe Coutinho this Wednesday in their champions league fixture against Sevilla.

Garcia said, "I think for Jurgen this has to be the season". If people blame me for this, no problem, but it was a decision taken for the season.

A preliminary hearing for Abdullahi is scheduled for September 18 at 9 a.m. "Excellent job by our officers!" the tweet stated. A law enforcement source close to the investigation said the incident stemmed from a gang-related conflict.

After a summer of heavy speculation that the 25-year-old would depart to Barcelona, Coutinho has since returned to training at Melwood from worldwide duty with Brazil - with Klopp initially eager to first rest the player before featuring him.

"Emre Can really struggled when he played in the middle of the back three and didn't look solid at all", Carragher said speaking on Sky Sports after the game. He came back long flight, 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there, three weeks without training.

- Klopp says Coutinho is available for selection in the Champions League this week.

Can is no stranger to playing in the back four - or three - and spent most of his early days at Liverpool as a centre-back or full-back.
